On Saturday, May 6, 2017 the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut (CGC), a non-profit agency dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and teens, will be hosting their annual gala. This year’s event, titled A Derby Affair, is the agency’s highest revenue generating fundraiser, drawing over 250 guests annually. It will take place on the breathtaking waterfront of Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton, CT.
During this Kentucky Derby themed gala, CGC will recognize a local foundation with the inaugural Distinguished Public Service Award. The event will include a live television viewing of the Kentucky Derby, a derby hat contest, a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, and the chance to participate in silent and live auctions. All proceeds will support CGC’s work in helping all children access high quality mental health services.
“Every dollar raised the night of our gala will ensure that our community’s highest risk children receive the best possible mental health services” said CGC’s President and CEO, Eliot Brenner, PhD “This event is also a way for us to celebrate the agency’s successes with our supporters, and an opportunity to educate attendees about the critical need for children’s mental health services in our community.”
CGC’s gala, A Derby Affair, will be hosted at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton, CT on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are now available for purchase. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
