OUTPATIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

Kimone holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University and is a member of their International Golden Key Honor Society. She has spent years receiving extensive training in risk assessment, crisis and mindfulness interventions. Kimone views therapy as a collaborative process and guides her patients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms and increase personal strengths to improve communication and build stronger relationships.

Prior to joining Child Guidance of Southern Connecticut, she was an Assistant Director for a Residential Treatment Center and a Program Director for a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program. She is licensed in Connecticut and Florida and is trained in evidence-based models such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and is also a Certified Advanced Gestalt Therapist. Kimone is an Associate Clinical Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers as well as a Clinical Member for the Connecticut Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders and is in the process of becoming an AAMFT Board Approved Supervisor.
