MEET ANA

Four year old Ana* was distressed and referred to CGC. Anna received telehealth services from a CGC therapist while simultaneously receiving often painful medication treatments at home.

Although we couldn’t take away Ana and her mother’s distress during chemotherapy, therapy sessions helped distract and support them as Ana shared with our clinician her favorite things and talked about her plans for Halloween. Although Ana did not survive long enough to be able to dress up as Super Woman as she hoped, she did light up when she imagined wearing her costume and described it to her therapist.
